This is my first (well technically second) attempt at a Tyranid list list with the new book. The idea is to have two strong flanks: Tyrant, hormagaunts, and Venomthrope on one side, and Warriors, Carnifexes, Termagants, and Venomthrope on the other side. The Gargoyles and Spore Mines will serve as cheap harassment units. Both flanks will be arranged with the 'gants in front, and the Venomthropes/Synapse behind. That way, the 'gants benefit from Shrouded and the Synapse/MCs benefit from Shrouded and the 5+ cover provided by the intervening 'gant unit, for a 3+ cover save across open terrain. The Carnifexes will be arranged with the Regeneration 'fex in front, so any wounds from shooting can be theoretically be recouped by the time they reach the enemy line.
