Can't say much about the other colors, though, as I've only even considered using the red for illuminated initial lettering on larger scrolls. I believe they make a green, as do other companies offering a similar product (fine-tipped archival ink markers, that is - there are several in the US and most craft stores carry at least a few of them, between the scrapbooking/card-making and fine arts departments). If you try them out for eyes/gems/what have you, I'd definitely start with a white undercoat.
