I'm afraid that the major drawback of this list (at least I think so) is prince - he can be easly single out and die. So maybe I should add something for target saturation, something that could support prince..... or maybe I should drop the prince and add a sorcerer or chaos lord with MoN to change plague marines into troops..... or maybe everything is fine. Oblits are definitely a good choice as are the cultists if you're just going to hand back.

I'd consider ditching the prince for a rhino and a lord w MoN (make the marines troops) and what ever other kit you want to give him.

By droping DP I will get 215 points. So I can take:

-get lord "full metal jacket"

-adding 5 raptors and give them 2 meltas (taken away from PM)

This how i run DEATH GUARD at 1k it. Works very well quite effective ran this list vs world eaters (tabled) and vs eldar(900pts in casualties inflicted only lost 3 plague marines)

It would not only give your army a terror weapon but as far as I can see would be the only thing you'd have the in way of anit aircraft.

Also, are you going to put the lord with terminators or the PM as, IMO you'll get more out of him if he's with the termies, meaning they have similar stats, the termies being 2+/5++ and the lord being 3+/4++ and having a nice mixture of power fists and swords..

Depending on what your opponent is using though, if they use lots of high strength high AP weapons then making the termies tzeentch migh be a good idea, as T5 doesn't help much against a S9 ap2 shot when it only has one wound. A 4++ would help that out a lot.

In general you need at least on unit able to:
- Kill troops fast and efficiently
- Lock in CC the deadliest ranged enemy units (the unit must be FAST and TOUGH)
- Protect your own shooting units
- Protect you from flyers
- Threat vehicles
- Protect objectives

I tried a couple of times the following list and I feel it is able to cover all the above points. I know you don't have the models to play this list, my suggestion is to just try and find something similar when you don't have models.
