He is running the everqueen with all life spells, bsb with her banner, in a 50 man spear unit, a lvl 2 mage with metal, 5 dragon princes with a star lance and 10 sisters of Avalon with a bow that is +1 strength.

I was planning on running this:

Keep the warlock out of the slaves (otherwise you can't shoot into the slaves)

I like the bsb other than the magic banner on it. Engineer is fine as well.
I would not take spears on the clanrats but that is your choice. I wouldn't take a champ either just the musician and banner. I would take all the stuff off the slaves and the rares look good. I am unsure about plague monks though. They don't have an armour save which suuuuuucks but they are good so either that or storm vermin your choice on that.

This is what I would do for 1500 points based on what you have.

I left a few extra points so you could also add a talisman to the BSB so that he has some sort of ward save which might be a good idea. You could also increase the unit size of slaves or clanrats your choice.

I would put the BSB into the stormvermin (since he has a halberd etc) I would also put the Grey seer in it as well or possibly in the clanrats with the lvl 2 engineer and have them behind the safety of the other units.
The engineer with the doomrocket I would just put him on the board alone just in case it goes wrong and he blows up in a large template haha.

Grey seer is just a great thing to have at this point value in my opinion to have the dreaded thirteenth. Against Warriors of Chaos you are going to get destroyed if you get into close combat haha
I would also recommend that your partner who is taking the High Elves take some Swordmasters or White lions. The Dragon Princes will probably die quickly against some warriors.
You also might want to tell him to consider taking lothern seaguard instead of spearmen.

Against WOC you want to wait in the field and shoot at him and cast lots of spells to destroy the units and make them smaller before they get into combat with you. With that in consideration you might want to take a second WLC instead of the doomwheel or you can even take a Hellpit abomination and the WLC. That would just need some flipping and working on the list.
