Monolith is to distract firepower away from the barges, destroyers and wraiths. Advances down other flank, allows redeployment of wraiths and warriors if left alive.
RDI deepstrikes and takes out tanks for firstblood hopefully.
Nightscythes can protect scoring or deploy the extra stormteks (and supporting warriors) where needed.

Never used a monolith before. Will it distract firpower as much as I hope? Is there enough in here to stop the destroyers going splat in turn 1 or 2?

Automatically Appended Next Post:
Should I keep the warriors together for rp and less kill points? Or split them up to capture more objectives?

I'm actually new to Necrons, so I can't answer your questions. I actually have a question for you, why do people run 5 warriors in a Night Scythe? To capture objectives easily?

Good luck with your list!

Yeh 5 warriors in a scythe is staple. It means they can hang out in the scythe until a later turn and you are only loosing 65pts per scythe from the gunline. Scythes are the best transport in the game (not including serps): flyers so needs 6's to hit barring skyfire, jink, a tesla destructor, can drop the troops safely and accurately at the start or end of the move without dropping into hover unlike any other flyer, and to top it off, if it gets destroyed the warrior squad goes into reserves rather than all taking a st10 hit.
The accuracy of the troop drop means a stormtek with warriors or a despairtek with deathmarks (for the 2+ template), makes the units far more dangerous.
Thanks!
