Plastic eldar farseer

So on a whim I picked up this model as it looks like it'd be a pleasure to paint and I've come to appreciate the aesthetics of the eldar models. My question is for anyone who has painted this model, especially those who use airbrushing. I usually paint in sub assemblies though this model seems to prevent that by way of it's construction with joins in awkward positions.

Is it worthwhile attempting to mask off for airbrushing? Or am I better off just basecoating and highlighting the body, hands and helm - then continuing the old fashioned way?

Regards

Ya I really like the model I had a good time painting mine. I don't use an airbrush but I do normally paint in parts. It has been a while since I painted mine but I think I put the entire thing together before I painted except for the base.
I think you would are better off just base coating the entire then and doing highlights then the rest by hand. The front with the gold (on mine) would be mark to airbrush I think.

Here is mine (sorry for the bad phone picture only one I have right now) I am painting my Eldar in Iyanden with a lighter blue so this fits well.
Your paint skills are way better than mine tho so I don't know why I am posting it haha

Looks like a very basic airbrush job then back to old school paintbrushes - i love avoiding them as much as possible!
I like your Iyanden scheme, the yellow is particularly nice - i've been leaning towards Iyanden or Ulthwe for an Eldar force, but as I'm working on a small(ish) Deathwatch killteam I want to avoid black for a long time. Thanks for posting your work though - I think you've managed to convince me to go for yellow and blue, or at least next summer when I get around to it!

Cheers
