It is set-up that way to automatically apply the mandatory title formats because, basically, the Mod team were sick of having to manually edit titles all the time. The Swap Shop has a title format to make it clear for users browsing threads. It is generic becuase, generally speaking, most people trade rather than sell. The concession for auction sales is the box you tick to mark it as an Ebay option. What you might want in return in the Want column is perhaps not necessarily cash but maybe you have certain payment requirements, eg Paypal that you want to flag up.
