(Spoiler) question on the emperor

Is it canon that the emperor is now a perpetual... We know that Vulkan is so did he inherit this from his father or was it engineers in to him.

Does the emperor being a perpetual now mean that the starchild lore is completely void. I mean there I a no way he can become the starchild now if he can't actually die...?

Re:(Spoiler) question on the emperor

Everything is and isn't canon, however it's hinted that he may be a perpetual, but as with all things he may be something else entirely, or just a "perpetual +1"

It doesn't invalidate the starchild theory as that is about a gestalt being in the warp, which could be either connected or completely separate from The Emperor himself.

(Spoiler) question on the emperor

Put it this way.

If a Perpetual cannot die, then the Star Child is not created through dying, but simply through a change in state.

Mortals put too much importance on the state of the body and not enough on their souls when considering such matters.
