Painting nurgle: How to do it?

I've recently bought some nurgle daemons for a 500pt list and I want a small army that will stand out on the table. My main list is comprised entirely of nurglings and I wondered if anyone had some unique waysto paint them or even some tips on how to go about it. Ill also have a soul grinder and I want it as uniformed as possible thanks in advance.

I start with a dark green over everything. Use a medium green covering everything but the recesses. Then I highlight with a pale green. Next I wash everything with a dark green and once that dries I finish with a green glaze. I also put splotches of purple wash sporadically to create some texture.

Here is an example of what the finished product looks like.

The flesh here is using the Reaper Undead Flesh triad, I've also used Deathworld Forest/Ogryn Camo/Nurgling Green as a good base, but that does give a much stronger green tint to it than here.

That comes out more like this

I'd advise spending some time with Google images and looking at how real wounds and diseases look, it isn't pleasant, but it does help you fix in your head how things would look, and whether you then try to replicate them, or subvert them in order to make them look more supernatural, it won't do any harm. (Excepting maybe a few nights sleep - do not look up necrotising fasciitis unless you've got a strong constitution.)
