Greasy restic?!

I've started cleaning up my Dreadball figures (the casts weren't as gods awful as I'd first thought), but the restic feels almost greasy to the touch.

Is this normal, or do I need to wash it before assembling and painting?

Cheers!

Give them a wash. My Project Pandora models also felt a bit greasy - enough that I had trouble handling smaller parts during prep until I gave the whole lot a wash. Helped considerably in handling, so I imagine it'd be an absolute necessity for paint adhesion. Whatever mold release they use comes off easily, at least. A quick scrub with a toothbrush or chip brush in soapy water does the trick - no heavier household cleaners or degreasers necessary (seems some folks like to use Simple Green or similar cleaners/paint strippers).
