				<description><![CDATA[ Here is my list and i would like some help and guidelines on how to make it more competitive, since i have this feel something is missing for this list....<br /> <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(56);'>HQ</span>-Helbrecht<br /> 6x honorguards, 4 <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(333);'>PA</span>,chapterbanner chapter champion with powersword  <br /> ELITES <br /> 5x Sternguard Veterans with combi meltas in a drop pod with locator beacon<br /> 5x hammernators in Deepstrike<br /> Ironclad Dreadnought with <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(500);'>CF</span> meltagun ironclad assault launcher and 2x hunterkiller<br /> Troops<br /> 10x crusaders with flamerswordbrother armed with chainsword and combi flamerand meltabombs(drop pod)<br /> 5x snipers with camocloaks<br /> FAST ATTACK<br /> Stormtalon with skyhammer<br /> HEAVY SUPPORT<br /> Land Raider Redeemer multimelta, hunterkiller and extra armor(driving helbrecht and Honorguard)<br /> Aegis defenceline with icarus lascannon<br /> TACTICS: Pretty simple, drop sternguard  and Dreadnought turn one to make some mess, and then hammernators(if dice wish so) and crusaders turn after while helbrecht and honorguard rush towards them in <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(87);'>LR</span> redeemer prefferably activate Helbrecht's fleet and hatred turn 2 or 3 while snipers, talon and <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(637);'>ADL</span> provide some firesupport<br /> Any thoughts on what to drop/swap/include are much appreciated]]></description>

				<title>Black Templars 1750, need help for tournament</title>
				<description><![CDATA[ Disclaimer: The following comments are based on the idea of a competitive list, for a friendly game your list is fine.<br /> <br /> I don't personally think the Black Templars can truly compete at the tournament level (I truly wish they did, but until they get something new in a supplement, it's just not gonna cut it for me).  Their special rules are fairly lackluster and I personally play them as Ultramarines when I'm trying to be competitive (I don't own any bikes, otherwise I'd go with White Scars).<br /> <br /> That said, you want to capitalize on the few things that are good about the Templars: Crusader squads (either <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(308);'>MSU</span> or large blob) and the crusader <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(136);'>USR</span>.  While I think you could truly scare some people by showing up with an insane amount of infantry led by Helbrecht, I think that it would be more of a 1-hit-wonder and most people would just grind away at it, so I think you're better off with <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(308);'>MSUs</span>.  I also think that our unique characters are rather garbage (again competitively-speaking)<br /> <br /> Here's how I would approach <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(15);'>BTs</span> for a competitive game at 1750:<br /> <br /> Chapter Master, artificer armour, <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(260);'>BP</span>, Burning Blade<br /> Honour Guard squad (x8), chapter banner (half axes, half swords) (combined with <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(746);'>CM</span> = 48 attacks on the charge!)<br /> <br /> Crusader squad (x5), sword brother with combi-plasma, las/<span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(166);'>plas</span>, rhino<br /> Crusader squad (x5), sword brother with combi-plasma, las/<span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(166);'>plas</span>, rhino<br /> Scout squad (x5), vet srgt, either all shotguns or all <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(20);'>CCW</span>/<span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(260);'>BP</span>, cloaks, <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(440);'>LSS</span>, <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(336);'>HF</span><br /> Scout squad (x5), vet srgt, either all shotguns or all <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(20);'>CCW</span>/<span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(260);'>BP</span>, cloaks, <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(440);'>LSS</span>, <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(336);'>HF</span><br /> <br /> Stormtalon, skyhammer<br /> <br /> <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(420);'>TFC</span><br /> Devastators (x5), vet srgt, 4x <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(80);'>LCs</span><br /> <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(87);'>LR</span>, <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(330);'>MM</span><br /> <br /> <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(637);'>ADL</span>/quad-gun<br /> <br /> That's 1750 on the dot.  Thoughts: your <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(746);'>CM</span> and <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(337);'>HGs</span> will hop in the <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(87);'>LR</span> and push forward and WILL shred anything they get their hands on, they will pump out an insane amount of attacks, just watch out for S8 attacks that could insta-gib your <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(746);'>CM</span>, use <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(85);'>LOS</span> carefully and make sure your champion takes the unwanted challenges.<br /> Your 2 crusader squads can push forward in support of the deathstar and establish a firebase midfield or cap an objective.  Your scouts (in <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(440);'>LSS</span>) will be your objective-insurance and late-game contesters thanks to their outflank ability, remember that they have move through cover and crusader special rules so they can move very quickly.<br /> Your <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(29);'>devs</span> + <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(637);'>ADL</span>/quad-gun will be your anti-armor/flyer unit along with the Stormtalon, don't forget that the <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(87);'>LR</span> has some good guns too; once your deathstar is out, the <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(87);'>LR</span> will most likely be ignored.<br /> Your <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(420);'>TFC</span> is there to handle large blobs or barrage-snipe some key enemy units/characters; it's a great all-in-one tool and should be an auto-include in any <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(119);'>SM</span> list, you'll also get a reinforced ruin which is a great spot to hide him along with a objective and one of your scout units.<br /> <br /> I hope this helps, I'd love to see the Templars come back in favor with a cool supplement, in the meantime we gotta work with what we have...
