Gluing on TOP of the Agrellan Earth technical?

Hey guys, has anyone tried gluing a model on top of a layer of Agrellan Earth? The model I have is taking up a majority of the base and I want to make sure I do a clean job of applying it - so I wanted to know if anyone has had any problems with the model staying on top?

The model should stay just fine...

...but the paint wont.

Crackle paints are not known for their high adhesion properties. However, you can seal them down with a liberal application of varnish before gluing the figure to it. I would also pin through the base for good measure, but I do that as a rule anyway.

Pinning would be your best bet. You should avoid gluing a model directly on any kind of painted surface whenever possible,
