You know what the best part of apoc is? You can pretty much take whatever you want mad you'll be fine. At those point levels, things that are "too many points" are few and far between. If you need ideas, check the formations in the apoc book and warzone: damnos

I agree with IndigoJack. Formations are always fun. There a couple in the main apoc book that look interesting. Idk if you have the models needed though.
ACQUISITION PHALANX: Trazyn and 5 units of Lychguard
BALEFUL NECROPOLIS: Tesseract vault and 8 monoliths
INFINITE PHALANX: 10 units of warriors
THE WAR COUNCIL OF MANDRAGORA: Imotekh the Stormlord, Nemesor Zahndrekh, Vargard Obyron, Orikan the Diviner, Royal Court, and 1 unit of Immortals
and of course there is always the Transcendent C'Tan.

Just go wild and field w/e you want.

I think I would run silver tide, possibly using the formation, and a royal court disco inferno, at that many points. That is, if I had the models. Really, just go wih whichever units you think
are awesome but are just not usable in normal games.

Also, I really want to know, who has 8 monoliths? When would you ever use them outside of this formation?

Need a necron apocalypse list 3000pts

My list off the top of my head for maximum hilarity has to be.

The War Council of Mandragora
Transcendant C'Tan
C'Tan w/ World Shaper (or whatever it is called)

Then fill up your squads and such w/ Tremorstaves and make sure to have a Chrono guy w/ Imohtek to reroll the night fight. Then take as many Annihilation Barges, Wraiths w/ D Lords and Warriors w/ Crpyteks w/ Tremor Staves and Crypteks with Voltaic Staffs as you can.

Imohtek's ability is hilarious in huge group games. The C'tan and Worldshaper combo makes it so pretty much every thing that doesn't ignore terrain has to roll for Dangerous Terrain on the first turn and then you have a C'Tan Ascendant firing off STD Hellstorm Templates. Oh and on a 4+ you can seize initiative.

2 Large 20 Man units of Warriors w/ 2 Accompanying Ghost Barges (which you can put the War council in , i think), then since you have a Royal Court purchas a Crpytek w/ Lighting Field and a Cryptek with the Reduce Charge Range and put them in the squads since two Royal Courts allow you to do that.

Then take a bunch of cool stuff you don't ever get to use.

So the power units

Take a Royal Court of 5 Crpyteks fully decked out with a Cryptek w/ Veil of Darkness then accompany him with 4 Cryteks w/ just Voltaic Staffs and go Super Heavy Hunting. This is like 145 points and you have a 16 shots w/ Haywire.

2 x 20 units of Warriors w/ Ghost Arks both with Crypteks w/ Tremor Staves , the charge reduction thing that I always forget the name of, Then Lighting Shield.

The War Council

Big Boy C'Tan

Little Boy C'Tan

As many fliers as you have, then have a bunch of fun.

The first turn of the game is going to be kind of ridiculous w/ the lighting thing and the anything that moves takes a dangerous terrain check unless immune.
