Here is a Deathwing Terminator I painted some while ago:



For the armor, I used VMA Camo Light Brown, VMA Light Brown, and VGC Bonewhite. As far as the Bonewhite goes, you could replace it with VMA Sand as it is a pretty close match.

I used P3 Battledress Green, P3 'Jack Bone, VGC Off White for the armor.

So first what is P3? Vallejo brand? Aside, if you use the game color, what was your mix ratio? Did you use water or thinner?

I'd like to primer white, paint a good base brown, then go with my bone. Wonderful looking model. Truly mean that.

Formula P3 is the Privateer Press (the company that makes Warmachine/Hordes) brand of paint. It is very good quality and works great in an airbrush and has lots of unique colors as well.

I use Vallejo Airbrush Thinner and prime almost everything with grey. I'm not a fan of bright miniatures so I like to avoid priming with white, preferring to start either neutral or black. The ratio for using Game Color (or any paint) in the airbrush has to do with the thickness of the paint and the working pressure so there is no "magic ratio" that works every time. However, at my standard pressure of 18psi I typically start with a 1:1 and work from there, adding more paint or thinner however I see fit.
