The phone is a Droid Razr Maxx, I currently have the back cover removed (can't remove the battery) and placed both halves inside of tightly wrapped (and taped) plastic wrap with some spare silica gel packets I had lying around from various sources in the hopes of drying out some excess moisture.

Was wondering if anyone had any thoughts to explain this unusual behavior and a possible prognosis for my phone? I took out the battery and left it all open to dry for several days.
