The only tip I can give is DON'T glue those boss poles in their backs. Leave them off and just stick them in when and if you need to.

Makes transport easier and they wont break off. (learned that the hard way)

For me personally I run a squad of 5 with a painboy in a battlewagon. 3 armed with kombi skorchas, 1 Big Choppa and 1 Power Klaw. I give them all cybork bodies. Throw in a warboss to round it out and you have a decent bully scoring unit that has some solid survivability as long as you stay in close combat and dont get pie plated to death.

how should I kit out my Ork Nob Squad and should I run 10 or 5 of them in the squad?

A painboy and cybork bodies for everyone is pretty good. Eavy armour on top of cybork is a bit of a waste of points, but can be used to protect key models a little more or to set up a designated victim for the bosspole beating.

A character to lead them is kind of essential. Their Leadership is just crummy. Bosspoles help a bit too.

Don't go overboard with weapons. Most of the nobs should be using the basic choppa-slugga set up. You rarely want more than two klaws. Even an Imperial Knight can be killed by three klaws in a couple of turns. Accept the fact that most of the nobs only exist to soak up casualties.

A Waaagh! Banner can help quite a bit in a large squad; against WS 4 opponents it's a 33% increase in hits.

how should I kit out my Ork Nob Squad and should I run 10 or 5 of them in the squad?

You want them in a vehicle.

10 of them, with painboy, banner, and bosspole. One power klaw, and maybe two combi skorchas. Usually you want a warboss because you run nobz to get FnP on an attached IC.

If points permit, give them cybork.

You absolutely cannot afford to have the transport destroyed and the nobz pieplated by str 8.. else you might as well footslog them at max spread.
