Triumph and Treachery - Double misscast?

Friends and I were playing this and had an interesting situation come up, couldn't find anything in the book otherwise.

Basically, my lord went to cast something and two people both played cards that caused a miscast each. One card caused any doubles to generate a miscast, then the other guy played a card that forced the spell though, but also creating a miscast.

Anyone else encounter this before by chance?

Both cards can force a miscast, but neither seems to force it twice. A single miscast seems to fulfill requirements for both cards.

Triumph and Treachery - Double misscast?

Eh, I interpret this as the following:

One card forces the spell to go through automatically, so there's no need to roll, therefore, you won't roll any doubles. So you'll just suffer the miscast as an effect of the original card which forced the spell through.

Can't think of any better interpretations tbh.

The Shadow wrote:
Eh, I interpret this as the following:

One card forces the spell to go through automatically, so there's no need to roll, therefore, you won't roll any doubles. So there is still a dice roll to get the first one which would still happen and then the second one would also cause a miscast to the real question is can a single spell actually miscast twice.

Triumph and Treachery - Double misscast?

What I can remember about the cards is they are played at different times. One is play before you cast, ie the doubles is a miscast, and the other is if you don't make the casting value then its it played.

In your situation, Player A played the doubles card, you rolled your magic dice and rolled doubles, and also you didn't make the casting value so Player B played the IF card. There is nothing stopping double miscast on the wizard. You roll once for the doubles and then roll again for the IF card.

Example would be Storms of Magic when you miscast on a fulcrum.
