Greetings, Dakkanauts. It's that time again -- the 38th AM list this past day. Got my Codex in today and had to put together a couple of lists for semi-competitive play. Here we go!

I suppose my strategy in the first list would to be to bunker up behind cover, attach the Primaris to one of my blobs as I push the Veterans and Conscripts + Commissar down the field. The second list would be the same except for that I have Pask and another Psyker for Prescience rerolls on whatever I need. the Senior Officer (or maybe one of his veteran) will man the Quadgun for AA defence. The Exterminators will pulp heavy infantry as well as light armor/transports. The snipers will ensure pinning tests.

I can't shake that feeling that I need a Vendetta or a trio of lascannon Sentinels, but I think I'll be okay at these point brackets. I threw the idea of mechanized infantry because of the sheer costs of it. Regardless, thanks for reviewing my list! Why relic plating on both tanks? You only need it on one to get the benefit.

Vanquisher on a Bs3 guy isn't great. PE helps this so if you dropped the CCS it would make more sense (Executioners work even better with him).

Why a commissar? A Priest is the same points for Fearless which is better. Unless you want the Ld bump for orders?

Remember only the infantry can combine not the special weapons squads so perhaps ratlings would be better if you just want 3 snipers?

It's only 2 points but why buy extra search lights for the Russes as they come with them standard. They also come with smoke launchers standard.

Go look under the heavy support section and then look under Leman russes. The look under war gear for the russes. They come stock with smoke launchers and searchlights. you do not pay points for them if they already come with the model or unit. Now look at the taurox or the hellhounds they do not have searchlights or smoke launchers in their war gear meaning they have to buy them lol. Sorry, bud, you're right. I must've glossed over the Wargear entries because the majority of what I saw were Leman Russ variant cannons.

Thanks for your response, Fling. I'll take your advice as you're fall more experienced than I am, but I do have a question: As for the CCS, I really just wanted it for the SO buffs incase of FMC or flyer spam. Are they really worth the points or is an LR Executioner just a straight up upgrade over these guys? Also, swapping the Commissar for a Priest. Apparently I also derped with the infantry squad costs -- I was charging Lascannons for the same price as Autocannons. Heh. Next time I should take some more time before jumping right in and crafting a list after I get the book!
