Salamanders paints

Hey guys. Out to find the best way to paint salamanders. I've decided to buy a box of marines and paint a model from each legion. So can anybody tell me the colours they use?

Salamanders paints

I used: caliban green, warpstone glow, moot green, abaddon black, balthasar gold, auric armor gold, biel tan green, agrax earthshade, nuln oil, mephiston red, averland sunset, troll slayer orange, flashgitz yellow, bloodletter, waywatcher green, ceramite white, ulthuan grey, leadbelcher, mournfang brown, and runefang steel.

I think that's the complete list of all the paints I've used on my 5k pts of Salamanders.

Think you'll get a pretty varied approach from just about anyone who painted them. So many different ways...

Re:Salamanders paints

I agree with BladeTX in saying that the Salamanders are like the Imperial Fists - almost everyone has a different way or shade of doing them. However, here's how I do mine:

Painting Salamanders Green:

1.	Prime: Halfords Grey (Of course, Black works just as well, I just prefer Grey)
2.	Basecoat green areas: Caliban Green
3.	Paint all green areas: Warpstone Glow leaving Caliban Green in recesses. (Typically, to get a strong colour, I do 2-3 thinned coats)
4.	1st Highlight edges: 50:50 Warpstone Glow/Moot Green
5.	2nd Extreme Highlight edges: Moot Green

I should point out that I thin all my paints with a 1:9 solution of 'Winsor Newton Flow Improver' and Water

Of course, that's just the green (The main bit), if you want any advice/lists of the other colours I use to paint gold, black etc. then just PM me as I write all my processes down anyway, so it's no trouble to drag them up if you want. Also, for visual evidence of the green in question, feel free to trawl through my gallery! D:
