http://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/8.page JForum - http://www.jforum.net Warhammer has always been pretty standard stuff (space marine player) so ive been used to painting just imperial fists a lot but here are some...boats..with decking and tiny little turrets and I don't know how to approach painting them

They have a lot of nice small detailing, rivets, doors planks and so on but ive always been heavy handed with paints and I fear mudding up the details with heavy handed paint application or i focus too much on painting ever little detail and the overall model suffers from a lack of consistancy. Can anyone offer some advice on what I'm supposed to do with these models, any is most appreciated from such things like how to tackle all that wooden decking or keep the metal and rivets looking...well metal and sea like.
