Going to give these a shot...

I've been a GW paint fan since I started painting but thought I would give the Reaper Master Series paints a go...found a set for a reasonable fee so thought why not. Anyone have any opinions either way on these?

I've only used the one color: Reaper MSP Polished Bone, but I like it a lot. The coverage is good and has worked well with brush and airbrush. The only thing I don't like, is when you want to buy a single color. You can find them on line or your LGS can order individual colors, but I wish Reaper made it easier to do so.

Yeah I use them. Very happy. Probably need some thinner for an air brush, buts it's over twice the paint for cheaper than GW. Order online, I think there is an order threshold for free shipping but it's been a while since I ordered.

I love RMS paints; although I have less of them than I do of most other paint lines, I really enjoy working with them and they work great in an airbrush.

The one thing about them I do not like is the design of their dropper bottles. They tend to clog easier than others that I have.

Ifurita wrote:
You can find them on line or your LGS can order individual colors, but I wish Reaper made it easier to do so.

Pretty painless from my experience with them. Ordering direct from Reaper - you can get free shipping at the $25 mark.

Miniature Market has them at a discount - but you need to order $99 for free shipping from them.

http://www.miniaturemarket.com/accessories/model-paints/reaper-master-series-paint.html

Miniature Giant offers an even larger discount and their free shipping threshold is $75.

http://www.miniature-giant.com/master-paint-singles-Reaper-paint-c-567.html

Then you also have companies like The War Store, FRP Games, Noble Knight... who carry Reaper and Reaper paints.

If your LGS is saying it is difficult to get them...well, not so much. Ordering direct for stores is straight forward. All the distributors I have dealt with carry them as well - so they should be able to tack it on with regular orders.

Automatically Appended Next Post:

ScootyPuffJunior wrote:
The one thing about them I do not like is the design of their dropper bottles. When the tip clogs - I run the bit through the tip. Widens it out slightly. I don't think I have had to do the same bottle twice and in the grand scheme of things it is a minor hassle for an otherwise excellent line of paints.
