But when I saw it on DVD I was very pleasantly surprised by it and I'm going to see Dawn. <br /> <br /> Other than "a talking ape" it really didn't have much to do with the original Planet of the Apes, but they did a good job putting little tributes here and there.  ]]></description>

But does anyone know what that 4 year virus was/is...? Cause I do not remember it from the last film...<br /> <br /> Rewatching the clip, there's some graffiti on the wall which reads "simian flu" and next to it "billion and counting" guess thats the 4 year disease and how many people have died]]></description>

Patient zero was the assistant at the lab, the one who refused to put down Caesar. Remember when he got exposed in the lab, and then sneezed in the lab (and there was some visible blood), and then when he bumped into the next door neighbor (the pilot) and sneezed in his face? 				<description><![CDATA[ I'm a pretty big fan of the original Planet of the Apes with Charleton Heston.  The first in the series of remakes was okay.  Interestingly, the ending to the remake was closer to the ending of the book, but I actually think the ending of the original film is better than the book ending.<br /> <br /> Rise of the Planet of the Apes was surprisingly good, so I'll probably give this one a try too.]]></description>

				<description><![CDATA[ The original Check Heston film is one of my favorite films of all time, though the sequels got progressively more and more ludicrous.<br /> <br /> Interestingly according the the documentary that came with the 5 film boxed set each sequel got a reduced budget and it really showed by the last film. That's curiously at odds with films today where sequels to successful films normally get their budgets inflated.]]></description>

				<description><![CDATA[ I actually really loved Tim Burton's iteration with Mark Wahlberg. Thought it was very well done and an excellent film. Dawn was okay. I didn't particularly like or dislike it, I was just sort of indifferent. The new one I have mixed feelings about because watching apes riding horseback with guns was really jarring, it was hard not to laugh during the previews. I'll probably see it though.]]></description>
