First, what is the thing dangling from the Sergeant's waist in this picture?

The other thing is an iron halo, which is an honor bestowed for valor in combat. I was familiar with the loincloth...it was the Rites that had me stumped. I knew about the fluff around Rites of Battle etc...but I didn't really have a picture in my head as to what it looked like. Thanks for that.

Also, thanks for the Iron Halo pad. Again, I'm up with a Iron Halo that a Captain can wear, but didn't know they had a shoulder pad that has the same insignia.

I think I may actually use the Scroll case too, getting ready to assemble the Sergeant now.
