Remora Drones

Has anyone had luck with using these consistently?

I figure a squad of 5 gives you: 5 markerlights, 30 twinlinked s5 shots, and 10 seekers. I was thinking of using other marker light sources to launch their seeker missiles after the drones have moved behind ranks and jinked for a 2+ save.

But is it worth the points and the FW price?

I think a squad of 3 is enough. 5 would be 450p!
Having Deep Strike is very useful for an aircraft, because it can appear behind other aircraft/vehicle/hidden important unit. Any unit with Homing Beacons (Tetra comes to mind) helps this immensely

Re:Remora Drones

Remoras are fun and all, and given that they have NETWORKED markerlights it means that each additional tetra in the team make the team as a whole better-makes large groups appealing.

However, remoras are NOT very efficient.
A single one is criminally so, a pair is pointless, a trio is getting into casual levels only.

Once you hit the 4-5 members in the wing, you got yourself a decent team. but its a bit too big for your average game as its a massive point sink.

In the end-fun unit, but not great.
