It’s a thing. We are obsessed with Frankenstein-ing famous people. We like to take one famous person’s body part and Photoshop it on to another famous person’s body part, like it’s our full-time, non-recreational job. (And when I say “we,” I mean the collective, not me but the Internet, “we.”) We’ve done it with Angelina Jolie’s Oscar leg, with Justin Bieber’s hair, with Steve Buscemi’s eyes, and now with the beloved, doe-eyed peepers of our own Zooey Deschanel. Some worker-bees just decided to take a bunch of famous dudes, plunk Zooey’s eyes in their sockets and post the results on Tumblr. Just, you know, because. Why do we do this? Is there an armchair psychologist out there who can explain away this phenomenon? Better yet, is there an armchair we can Photoshop onto Brad Pitt’s torso? That’d be cool.
