I've found Maelstrom Missions force players to play the game very different from the Eternal War missions. A lot more dynamic movement of units, but I've also found that my 3 strong Jetbike squads do not last at all in Maelstrom Missions as I am forced to immediately play them aggressively to capture objectives early.

Fe. Swooping Hawks are GOLD in the 7th edition, with their direct deep strike and the Warp Spiders have always been great, but now even better. I like the 7th edition!
