I cant be the only one who thinks Edge of Tomorrow would work well as a 40k film. (Spoilers)

Something about the film, probably the tech, reminded me constantly of 40k. And the film became much better when I started imagining it as one. Replace the Mimics with Tyranids (Drones are Lictors, Alphas are I dont know, The Omega would be the Bio-structer that serves as a synappse point, forgot the name), would also work as Chaos Daemons (Of Tzeench, because Tzeench would do this time-travely gak. Drones as Spawn, Alphas as Daemons, Omega a Greater Daemon), the military would be the Imperial guard (No explaining needed, really). It would take place on a distant imperial world, perhaps long severed from contact with the empire. It would be before/closely after Tyran, where no one knows what the Tyranids are yet. I cant be the only one that thought of this while watching it, right?

Or it could work as a Starship Troopers flick.

But what is interesting to see is how far we are as a world from the technology depicted in the film. 10 years at the very most by my reckoning till the power armor of sci-fi will become accepted as cellphones are now.
