FW lately, and have found myself frustrated trying to hold the model togther without getting my fingers stuck for the minutes it take for it to dry and bond. And while glue accelerator works great, I find I just don't have the 3 arms necessary to us it properly.

For best results, you need the best contact between parts that you can get (no gaps) and a small amount of glue. While I realise that this isn't usually possible given FW's iffy QA, it can be fixed to a point where it CAN be done.

Accelerant just REDUCES the strength on a superglue bond anyway (seriously. the chemistry involved doesn't argue).

If you are struggling to hold the joint in place and it isn't a joint that needs a strong join then accelerator can be a godsend. However if it is a joint that must be strong as it is load bearing then you should be pinning, this removes all the effort with holding stuff in place.

For long joins that you can't pin the length of, like say the sides of a Fire Raptor, multiple clamps are essential. I'll often soften the bent part of the resin with heat, glue it in place then clamp it to get it straight.

Seems expensive but last a very long time, and it makes superglue harden instantly.

One pro-tip for using it, ditch the spray head, and just dip a cotton stick in the fluid and hold the tip on or near the freshly glued seam. It instantly hardens the glue one even the vapour of the activator hits the glue. great, great stuff. I seriously couldn't model without it anymore. With the activator/kicker try spraying ONE side only and letting it evaporate then after 30secs or so put a dot on the other piece and bring them together, holding for 10 seconds ought to do it for a nice clean permanent join.
