I've read up on some of the controversy around the show, but one of the things that stands out to me as a Brit is the negative responses from the residents they approach about digging on their property. I thought only us Brits suffered from "an Englishman's home is his castle", but you guys seem to have this 10 x worse than us Is this just for TV or are these real reactions to Rick Savage? I mean they guy says he will leave the place as he found it and there is a camera crew there to record it as evidence, so why the hostility?
