Whilst it is probably true that they all crystallise and set up root in the domes of crystal seers at some point, they don't ALL start out that way. There's bound to be a period where they are still flesh and blood, and whilst stuck on the witch path, aren't fully gone yet.

No, because while it's codex-legal, it's fluff-breaking - Farseers are half crystallised, in no fit state to be charging around on bikes.


The half crystallised is only half-true.

Whilst it is probably true that they all crystallise and set up root in the domes of crystal seers at some point, they don't ALL start out that way. There's bound to be a period where they are still flesh and blood, and whilst stuck on the witch path, aren't fully gone yet.


I agree with the latter. If anything the part about being half-crystallized might be the part that is un-fluffy (if that is a newly-invented part of the Eldar fluff- I'm not actually sure), as Jetbike Farseers have existed in the Eldar codex as far back as 2nd edition, mid-90's. They could be put on a fighting platform on the back of a Falcon instead of the weapon turret. A pretty cool option that I always wonderd why it went away, other than the Saim-Hann "Nuadhu Fireheart" character in 3rd edition.
