I run a similar list. My hqs though are 1 big mek w/KFF and 2 painboys. The Fnp really helps.

Though, I have to say I LOVE Jay's walkers. I love Ork walkers with a burning passion anyway, but that blue is oddly awesome. Truest goddamned fact in 40K right now. I smashed through a combined 2000 pts of allied IG and SM today with mobs of boyz in KFF bubbles and Painboy backup. Truest goddamned fact in 40K right now. I smashed through a combined 2000 pts of allied IG and SM today with mobs of boyz in KFF bubbles and Painboy backup. NOBODY wants to think it's possible except for a smallish number of Ork players who are consistently winning games.


It's amazing how important Boyz still are! Don't get me wrong, our toys are still great and most got cheaper. But it just tempts us to forget the basic strength of our army. Bodies. I can still cram a lot of boyz and toyz in my lists. I play 1850 games most of the time. I try my damndest to get at least 60 to 90 Boyz in there, one way or another. Watching this report, those DS eldar just ripped him to shreds. If he had 30 Boy blobs, or even just 20 boy blobs, I think Skared woulda been in rougher straights. Jay had it right with the KFF spam, but he really needed some Painboy action in there D:

The Naught chews up some points, but even with the 300 point investment, lose a few Kanz to get more dudes in there if possible is my opinion for this list. Or lose the Dread and keep the Kanz. Cowardl grots is such a minor 'nerf' its not even worth noting. Snap Shots is whatever to Orks. Even for Grots. Yeah, we started discussing this in another thread but KFF and FNP are such a devastating combo for Orks right now., Being able to take so many rerolls, despite the fact that it's "only" 5+ is so good. But, yeah, you need to have big mobs to make it worthwhile. In a 1500pt game I wouldn't have gone with as many walkers, especially the Morkanaut. Which isn't to say it's not a worthwhile piece of gear - in higher-level points you're getting what is essentially two extra KFF Big Meks (due to the amount of table the Mork's KFF covers) and a slew of mobile heavy weapons with the ability for lots of repair rolls (if you fill it with burna meks). You just need to save it for higer-level games where you can spare the points.

I also think there was a big mistake in not keeping the Kans and Dred behind the Naut for the KFF cover. In the game I played yesterday, I had a similar loadout with 6 Kans and a Dred that were behind two KFF Meks that were each in a mob of 30 shoota boys with a Painboy in each. Their durability covered the advance and protected the walkers. My opponents were able to blow up three of the Kans while they advanced, but having 6 and a Dred meant that Cowardly Grots! never came into effect. So I was able to take out a few units of IG with grotzookas by the time they got into range. 310 points buys another 30 shoota boyz with 3 rokkits and a nob with around 50 points left over.

In games over 1500 mayne.
