So I was gonna buy her some, but I hate comic books and so on, but many here do enjoy them, and I would not be surprised if some have read them. Where do I start to buy some and which ones should I go after to make her reading experience great (she loves reading big time)?

would be the most logical place -- although bear in mind the continuity is a fair bit more complicated than in the movie.

While on the topic, what about Watchmen comics. Thats the other one she was interested in. Watchmen is... -- alright was -- a single series all collected into one collection many many times since its' first publication.

A year or 2 back ( ish) DC finally buckled and did a whole bunch of prequel mini series, to mixed reception. These are also available in trade format, but I wouldn't worry about them too much.

Watchmen is good though.

I'd also perhaps suggest "Fables" -- accept no cheap TV knock offs --, "Scalped" and maybe have a look at Transmetropolitan.

Honour obliged to suggest "Preacher" as well.
