OOP Tyranids - Swarmlord, "Red" Terror, Hive Tyrant, Old One Eye etc

I bought a job lot of old Tyranids recently to try to kick start painting again after a two year hiatus (before which I wasn't very good). In with the models was most of an old metal Red Terror, missing two arms. I'm quite happy with the paint job, considering my limited experience and skills (I know the green/orange of the panels goes over the "lines" in places), and forgot how much I like painting metal models - something about the way liquid acrylic flows and brushes onto the surface is so much "better" than plastic. This is also the first time I have used non-GW paints.

I have figured out that one of the missing arms was also used in the old Raveners, but I have no idea where to get the missing small arm - any ideas would be gratefully received.

The paint scheme is very loosely based on Mr Peppy from Futurama (i.e. blue and green), as that is what was on when I was thinking of colour schemes.

Nice job. Im not completely sold on the blue armor mixed with the green skin. Both are well executed though. Keep it up

Re:OOP Tyranids - "Red" Terror and old Hive Tyrant

I also got most of an old Hive Tyrant, unfortunately missing it's arms and head. I have been working on it a little as I'm far from impressed with the quality of the sculpt (after working with Red Terror and Old One Eye, this thing is just abysmal!) and available weapons.
I have bulked out the shoulders, which still need a little tidying up, and given it a bone sword and lash whip from the subsequent model. The ball joints don't fit in the sockets, but aren't too bad (I hope!) I am planning on having rending claws for the rear arms, even though I don't think the current rules allow it, as I don't play and I think they look more appropriate than a gun.
I've not decided what I am doing with the head, as the later heads are too well sculpted and look out of place on the model.

Here's Old One Eye. I don't think the armour worked as well as it did on Red Terror, I used a different blue with a higher pigment content and lost a lot of the translucency
I tried to make the wound look like ichor/blood was pooling, I think it worked I also shortened the scything talons, as they normally look out of proportion imo

Re:OOP Tyranids - "Red" Terror, Hive Tyrant, Old One Eye etc

I'm not sure if this guy counts as OOP as the new plastic kit is virtually identical. The body, tail and head are metal and were bought cheaply due to missing legs and damaged tail - the legs are finecast (the first time I've worked with the stuff, it's odd...) - the Swarmlord arms are from the new plastic kit.

The red is all carefully low and high-lighted, again the first time I have done that (rather than "cheating" with washes). He's not very grimdark, so I'm not sure how well he will go down. I'm also not happy with the base, the lava effect wasn't really thought out and I don't think I got it right.
