Suggested reading order for Dark Angels books?

I've read the Horus Heresy, up to Flight of the Eisenstein. I have the next book "Fulgrim" but want to get more back story on other Chapters, ie the Great Crusade(pre Heresy). I found another suggested reading thread for HH and have read Prospero Burns, The First Heretic(up to just prior to Istvann V)... about a chapter left, and I'm currently reading A Thousand Sons. I've also read "The Descent of Angels".

I'm not really looking to read by release date, I can accomplish that by looking that up at The Black Library. I'm wanting to read in chronological order, as in roughly from the Descent of Angels onward. Basically everything Pre Istvaan V according to when it occured in the DA history.

Thanks!

Suggested reading order for Dark Angels books?

Bam! I read most of the Dark Angels books and I can tell you EXACTLY what order you shoudl read!

The problem with Dark Angels books is that some of them are not invividually interesting to read, but sets up the necessary background that in later books becomes WOW factors. Many forums posters don't have the patience or love of Dark Angels of follow through, but I can assure you the wait is worth it.

The list I include are must reads, I left out some of the short stories that I don't think is interesting enough. But do read from top to bottom order, you can start with either series but the first series gives solid background of DA before they become space marines.

Oh, and you can of course read the background of the DA Codex as a primer to the stories below.

First Series - Horus Hersay Background and Present
Descent of Angels
Fallen Angels
Pandorax

Second Series - read in following order.
Purging of Kadillus
Angels of Darkness
Ravenwing
Battle-Brothers
Master of Sanctity

Suggested reading order for Dark Angels books?

Pandorax indeed jumps to M41, but its a stellar book with great reveals if you have read Descent of Angels and Fallen Angels.

There are a few other books for Dark Angels during the M30 period, unfortunity they are filler material and nothing really interesting to worth a read. Perhaps later on Black Library will have more books on DA, as of now nothing really interesting.
