I took a break from 40K when the new 7th edition rules came out but I finally caved in and got a rule book and read up on all the changes. With that being said I have decided that I'm only going to keep a single army in 40K from this point forward. Right now I have two large armies, Tau and Space Wolves. I'm not to sure which force to sell and which one to keep so hopefully those of you out there in Dakkastan can sway me either towards the greater good or the frozen fields of Fenris

I'm leaning towards selling the wolves right now due in part to the fact that I'm not happy the direction the new codex has taken them, Logan on his Santa Sled is not my thing, and I've never been a fan of the model for dreadnoughts. Additionally I loved the Wolves for their smash you in the face style of play but after reading the new codex that style of play has gotten more expensive it seems. I do like the fact that TWC has become relevant again though. But with that being said after reading the 7th edition rules psychic powers have become an important part of the game and Tau are definitely lacking in that department in both offense and defense. I like playing Tau a lot especially for their maneuverability on the battle field but you always get that "oh you're a Tau player" look from certain players thanks in part to those that like to play Camp Tau and never leave their Tau Castle in the corner of the field!

As for aesthetic my Wolf army is Pro-Painted (thank you eBay and people in China) and follows the standard Wolf color theme, I painted my Tau Army and while FAR from pro painted doesn't look that bad and follows a green motif.

As for composition Tau has all the standard goodies, Riptide, 6 crisis, commander, sky ray, lots of kroot and firewarriors, etc.... The wolves are mostly long fangs, terminators, and Gray hunters which I run with Razorbacks,.

So any thoughts on helping me decided would be great! I haven't played much in 7th so i'm leaning all y'all in Dakka land to help me decide!

Your Tau seem good, they are not pro-painted, but you painted them.

From an economical stand point, the puppies just have gotten a new codex, so your wolves will be easy to sell, and also, they probably will attain greater prices.

You seen unhappy about your space wolves too.

Let me see: your Space Wolves will be more lucrative, they have less "connection" to you, and you dont liked what they are becoming...

Your tau are painted by you (they have that connection), you like manouverability (wolves dont have it), you actually like the way they evolved in the game and they probably have a lower $$$ value right now.

I think the awser is "sell the wolves", but it must be your decision.

Also, dont care about the "you are a XXX player" look. You played your Tau when they where outdated? If yes, them enjoy your new place in the sun (and carry those dated models just to show you are a vet). 1-There are TONS of Space Marine players of varying kinds, why follow the herd?
2-There are some players who complain about Tau, guess what they got nerfed hard in this edition (their two best lists are no longer legal) and anyone who wants to camp in a Gunline will have some serious issues in this edtion.
3-You said yourself the way you used to love to play Wolves is more viable, sell them.
