The Knights of Blood are a known BA successor though, and they're considered renegades and have a Chaos paint scheme in one the Chaos Codexes.

There is a Knights of Blood Chapter, The BA Successors, And there is a separate Chaos Warband with the same name.

At the end of the book, it cuts to "present day" where an Inquisitor is looking through ancient records to find out what could've caused this, "Monster to be unleashed." Which certainly implies that they do eventually fall.

But seriously, read Death of Integrity. One of the best of the SMB series.
