Kryptman Solution v 2.0

So we know that Inquisitor Kryptman, knowing the extreme dangers the Tyranid present to all life in the galaxy, diverted Tyranids to attack the Orks in order to have the two groups battle each other, hopefully for quite some time, taking some pressure off the Imperium in the meantime.

Knowing this, why not posit this solution to the Tyranid menace?

We're told that (generally) Ork equipment works often simply because Orks believe it does (to an insane degree in older fluff). The more Orks that believe it, the more true it becomes.

So...drop boxes of rockets, bullets, hatchets, pointy sticks, whatever for Orks to find and label them all "Guaranteed Tyranid Killas" (or if our Orks can't read....go Ikea style and use all pictographs) and spread the rumors throughout Orkdom that they easily kill Tyranid. Gork and Mork do their thing and.....dakka, dakka, dakka...Tyranid are exterminated.

Too Heretical a solution? Taking too big an advantage of GW canon silliness?

Kryptman Solution v 2.0

The Octarius War is already working in the Imperium's favor, but it is also tearing up planets along the edges of the Ork empire. It's gotten so bad that the Eldar intervened to burn neighboring worlds just to keep the fighting contained.

The last thing the Imperium needs it two Octarius Wars happening. With Thraka heading to Octarius to take over, it looks like the Orks might pull through, and then the Imperium might have a WAAAAGH! on its hands that could dwarf Armageddon.

And what happens if/when the orks win the war? They will turn straight to the IoM and go at it. You have to think that these ork veterans will be on a whole new level thanks to all the fighting they will have received over the centuries long war.
It was a stupid idea to begin with. No wonder he was excommunicated.

Hurr durr, let's give the Nids all the biomass they need/the Orks all the free combat they need to thrive. Octarius is only one part of the Nid campaign as well. What does Kryptman expect to do, transplant Orks onto Terra?

Where has it actually been confirmed that Orks can have an effect on the things around them just by believing something? I'm not completely up to date with everything but i didn't think that was something that had been proven and was just speculation. Things like Ork weapons working better when used by them or red vehicles going faster can be explained by things that don't involve "Orks believe it so it's true".

In either case, it was never something as absurd as "tell an Ork this gun is really powerful against Tyranids and it will be".
Just so you know, the Ghazzy plot actually advanced in the latest Ghaz codex supplement. You can read a synopsis on the wiki (if you trust the wiki. It was written by the head of the wiki though so it's probably trustworthy)

Basically, IIRC, Ghaz did a big damn heros moment, killed a bunch of Tyrannids (saving the current lord of Octarius), recruited a bunch of Orks, then left because Gork and Mork told him he had more important things to do. The Orks vs Tyrrannid battle is still on-going but Ghaz did tip the scales a little while he was there.

An ork isn't going to make something true just by believing, and he's not going to believe something just because. He's not going to imagine a rock is a grenade or a rusty pipe a gun. Yes if the orks win then they will be a huge threat for the rest of the IoM, but they can't build up a giant fleet out of nowhere. For the most part the IoM focuses the resources they have to active threats against them, such as the Black Crusades and WAAAAAGH!!!s. The Tyranids were besieging (and on the verge of overpowering) the capital world of the Ork Empire in that sector. Ghazz arrived in the sector, smashed through to the capital world, calls the Orks to heel, stomps the Tyranids invading the planet (including a fun moment where he is eaten by a giant Mawloc, and then kills it from the inside), then his gods call him away to the next world.

He saved the Octarius empire when it was on the verge of collapse (by this point the Orks had been driven into their fortresses and were all but done for) and got them fighting again. How long their momentum will last, we cannot really say. It looks like GW have decided the Tyranids have the edge in the battle of attrition, but with the Eldar using their Fireheart devices to burn the worlds Leviathan is tapping into to fuel its Ork genocide the Tyranid numbers may start to run out.
