Witty Introduction Thread Title

Greeting.

Something witty.

End.

...Success?

Hi. I'm from South-West UK, and I play WH40k. Or at least I used to, but the local games club/shop closed a few years ago, an the 40k scene in this area has gone dry. :( I started with WHFB back in the 90s (Lizardmen), moved onto 40k from there after buying my first Codex; Imperial Guard 2nd Ed, before going squigs-deep into collecting Space Marines. Now I have a few more armies than that:

Iron Hands (retired)
Imperial Fists
Orks
Tyranids
Grey Knights
Chaos Daemons
Eldar (only enough for allies)
Astra Militarum (just infantry because the Orks looted their vehicles before I could paint them, the cheeky buggers!)

I most enjoy converting my models to make them unique, interesting and dynamic. I'm no expert at painting however, and I have great difficulty in painting fine details as I cannot hold my hand steady enough, but I do try anyway. Here are a few pictures of my models:

My Grey Knights Grand Master. He used to be such a boss in the old codex, striking at I6 and applying all those debuffs with special grenades. C'est la vie.

Karandras is my favourite Phoenix Lord, so I just had to paint him up when I found the old metal model of him I bought in the late 90s. Pattern inspired by Cell from Dragonball Z, because I think it looks cool and I don't care if you think that makes me a weeab'.

I wanted to use a Tervigon/Tyrannofex when they first had rules but no model. I knew if I tried to make something resembling the artwork, it would be totally outclassed by an actual model when it eventually came along, so I thought "f*ck it, lets make something original". Thus, the Arachnofex was born. Quite pleased with it tbh.

Lastly, my Imperial Fist Librarian Dreadnought, counting as an Ironclad Dreadnought with a Seismic Hammer. This may be my favourite conversion I have done. I like how I was able to make a dead Daemon Prince just using the leftover bits from the kit. Really like this model.

So, there we go. My life story, abridged, edited, cut, re-cut, and then completely replaced with this post instead.
