Overview of our deployment. I win the roll to deploy first and choose first turn. I have Missile Devs parked on one objective, and the bunker is within claiming range of another. I outflank the Scouts. The Chapter Master attaches to the Nemesis Strike Force for deepstriking. I decide to take first turn.

My Objectives. My bunker is currently helping me claim #1. Easy enough first point.

My NSF comes in. Bro-Cap successfully casts Prescience. Chapter Master pops his Orbital Bombardment on the Warlord's Rhino, which initially scatters off the table. I re-roll with Prescience, and it sticks. However, I roll double 1's for Armor Pen and glance it. Psycannon fire finishes it off, and Stormbolters maybe kill a few of the Grey Hunters. I then run toward his lines with my GK, rushing into the fray!

Even with the re-roll from the Ammo Store, one of my Plasma Cannons gets hot. He makes his armor save, however. Three blasts are enough to wipe one of the Long Fang squads off the table.

My Lascannons wreck another Rhino.

I move the bikes up conservatively, not wanting to be charged by the Thunderwolves. I am out of range of Grav Weapons, but bolter fire kills 1 Wolf. I earn 1 Maelstrom point and have First Blood!

Space Wolves first turn Objectives. Hard to read with the crummy pic, but he needed an objective in the Ruins at midfield.


The Wolves circle the Grey Knights. My opponent knew he had to deal with the Terminators or they would come crashing through his back lines next turn. Unfortunately for him, a combination of slightly below-average shooting and my having some slightly above-average armor saves led to the loss of only 1 or 2 Terminators to the shooting from 3 squads of Grey Hunters and 1 Long Fang squad.

His Terminators disembark and prepare to assault my Terminators. He shoots one hurricane bolter and assault cannon at the Plasma Devs. I forget the entire game that I have a Void Shield. I lose 1 to 2 Devs to small arms fire.

He declares his assault with the Terminators, forgetting about Prescience. I kill 3 of his Termies to overwatch! My opponent is rightfully pissed at this point. He makes his charge, and charges in with one squad of Grey Hunters that fired their Bolt Pistols instead of Bolters. Unfortunately for him, my Termies crush his and kill 2/3 of his Grey Hunters, who fail Morale and fall back behind their wrecked Rhino. I consolidate toward the other two Grey Hunter squads. He scores one Maelstrom point for taking the center objective.

My turn 2 Objectives. I need 3 units in my deployment zone, which I have by default with my three Dev squads. I forget to roll for my Scouts.

I bum-rush closer to the 2 Grey Hunter squads. Prescience once again successful, as well as Hammerhand. Chapter Master pops his Combi-Grav, but shooting is lackluster, killing only a handful of Grey Hunters.

Lascannons pen and glance the Land Raider, Shaking it.

Plasma Cannons take out 1 Long Fang, and a few of the maimed Grey Hunters. Once again one Cannon gets hot, and I again make my armor save.

Missile Launchers all missed the Rhino (two had to move to get line of sight, so snap shot), so the Captain and crew went after it. However, I forgot about his Auspex until afterward, and the Melta shot would have gone through and Penned! Oh well, it was immobilized thanks to Grav Guns.

I multi-charge the two Grey Hunters and would have decimated them much worse if not for his Battle Leaders tanking quite a few wounds with their Stormshields. Unfortunately for them, they actually pass morale! Locked in combat. I score one more Maelstrom point and am up 3-1 at this point.

His objectives. He needed the objective near his Land Raider, so he will drive it up and park it nearby. It then shot at my Plasma Devs, killing a few, so only 2 Cannons remain. They fail morale and nearly run off the board.

His Thunderwolves jumped in to help in combat, but they were cut down quickly. Only a handful of Grey Hunters remain, who again make morale! He scores another Maelstrom point, and is down 2-3.

My objectives. Still parked firmly on #1.

Lascannons 'splode the Land Raider. Plasma Cannons don't move for their regroup so they can fire, one overheats, but I make armor. He makes his cover saves. I wipe out his Grey Hunters in close combat, and he concedes at that point.

CRUSHING VICTORY FOR THE IMPERIAL FISTS AND GREY KNIGHTS!!

Game over.
