We have been posting here some of our work as Painting studio for some time now, hope you did enjoyed our work and possibly get a little inspiration from it ; )
Today I would like to announce something special here:
For some time now, we are working at Awaken Realms on our own miniature, universe and gaming system under the brand of The Edge.

We will be posting here all the official updates with story, miniatures, concept arts and game rules.
All comments and feedback is more then welcome! We want to deliver the best quality and that means we will be reading your comments very carefully and taking a lot from them!

Today first feature with Chapter faction and Holy Knight model.


Chapter
Remaining human population hidden in 7 huge cities called refuges. Each refuge have huge autonomy, but all of them are ruled by the Priest of The One. Whole society is built on the glorification of technology and implementing it in normal day life – when it comes

to Culture, The One is the only God and all the social culture and art is based around him. There is no direct proof of The One intervention in real world – but priest says Angels of Death, most effective weapons against demons were send directly by him, as technology standing behind them are superior to the other Chapters machines.




Holy Knights

“…and the time will come, that unclean will come to the land.

Spoil and contaminate it to the very foundation.

In this dark hour chosen ones will go to battle with my blessing.

Those, with hearts full of pure, sacred fury.

In great armor I will arm them,

As they shall be warriors of last hour

My holy guardians”

- Third prophecy, part 4, lines 18-26


There are multiple possible ways to serve the One – perhaps the most honorable is wearing the armor of Holy Knight and with it seek destruction of Demons on the battlefield. Only the purest members of society can wear this armor specially developed by priests based on the visions send by The One. Another requirement is abnormal physical strength and perfect discipline – thanks to that Holy Knights combine strength of human body and machine to become perfect weapon. Knights are part of a Chapter and hold high position within their ranks even thou they do not possess any technical skills or capabilities.

Model:
This model will be cast in High Quality resign on 40 mm round base. There will be 4 different position - each of position will have full weapon choice (hammer, mace and sword)

Welcome to another update from The Edge universe. Today we will take a closer look at the Demons and one of the model from this faction.

The Edge is original miniature game and universe set in grim steam-punk settings. This project is developed by Awaken Realms painting studio and will be published in the first quarter of 2015.

Demons
Demons came the world of Edge decades after the cataclysm. They are guests from another world that invade from the portals hidden in the craters left by meteor rain (for Chapter known as a Great Purification). They are conquerors of worlds well prepared for fighting on all fields. Main forces of Demons are divided into three casts: Intelligence cast using spells and charms on the battlefield, mind manipulating their enemies; Terror cast hidden in shadows and plant fear in the hearts of their enemies; Brute cast build up from dreadful warriors ready to fight any force.



Ish, Demon Goddess

“Come… closer… There is nothing to fear,
Ah… So many emotions, so much pain.
You have been through a lot
Maybe it is time to finally let it go and rest?
I feel so alone here, come… closer
I will give you everything you want…
…but you will have to give me something in return”




Model introduced today is Ish, Demon Goddess. She is a representant of Intelligence cast, thou she is heavily bound with the brute cast. She is using crystals together with human life spam to empower her spells. She is charming Goddess to her followers, even thou they are put under her spell she have true love for all the creatures and humans serving her – but she have no mercy for her enemies and all who oppose her will be object of untold cruelness. She can take any physical manifestation she can, usually she ride into battle on the throne carried by two brute demons with the look of young beautiful girl to tempt human mind.

This model will be casted in High Quality resign on 120mm base and will be around 110mm tall.

Yes, this will be a skirmish game at first (3 factions) and then if all will go as planned we will turned that to army game ; )
