Koldun Lord - Drybrushing Blends

I can't seem to get the hang of wet blending, so I've been trying to get by with creating gradients through drybrushing instead. This Koldun Lord was a test piece in creating gradients for glowing effects this way. Basically I would add a layer of colour, then drybrush over the boundry with both it and the previous colour to soften the transition. The results are not very smooth, but I think that's OK for cloth and light effects. I also tried to enhance the glows by transitioning from the base colour, through a darker colour, up to the glow. I think the results, while quite dramatic, are not very convincing as "glows". Still, I think it looks quite pleasing overall.
