Questions about the Gue'vesa.

I have a few questions regarding the human her- helpers in the Tau Empire. Or, more specifically, their military.

Do Gue'vesa get Leman Russ/Basilisks/Chimeras? I mean, it'd make sense in that they're very easy to make and to train pilots for but I could see why the Tau would be hesitant to give the humans tanks.

Do Gue'vesa commonly accompany Tau forces on conquest or are they restricted to border defense?

What do Gue'vesa/their equipment look like? I can imagine being painted in a camo scheme but I'm wondering if they plaster their vehicles in Tau symbols to prevent friendly fire incidents.

http://web.archive.org/web/20080420071331/http://uk.games-workshop.com/tau/tau-auxiliaries/

That is the original article for them.

There is very little information given and it seems to imply from that article that they are on the Tau frontier with only limited manufacturing capabilities, so it is unclear if they would have any capability to make vehicles.

Gue'vesa vary massively based on the planet they are recruited from..and mainly serve as a converters playground..

If you wanted to make a guard army themed to ally with tau..just convert away...

but as for actual stuff..the Taros campaign had planetary militia that were equipped with imperial gear that fought for the Tau..but only really detailed infantry squads.

But toss some fluff reasons at it and do what you like..barring commissars and other imperium specific characters you can have alot of fun with the concept.

The Damocles Anthology covers them in one of its stories. They are given a pulse rifle and armor that is "actual armor" as one of them puts it. They were sent as envoys along with the water-caste to first try and sway the opinion of one of the hive governors on Argellan. When that failed, they entered combat alongside their tau superiors against the local guard regiments.

As for vehicles, there weren't any outside of Tau provided transportation which might be because the tau

In some instances you have Gue'vesa who were gifted with battlesuit variants in the anthology but this is limited to very high-ranking individuals in the novel.
