Depends. Are we going on just catchy and deep meanings? Lately, I've really discovered Rush and a lot of their jams stay with me, but the same goes for Billy Joel. The man has a way with lyrics and tunes even though it doesn't really sound like anything special.

Yeah, I'd say Rush or Billy Joel, as that's whats hooked me lately. Although, I will always be a sucker for 90's grunge.

Bush, Pearl Jam, Nirvana, anything of that wave really gets me.

Songs that stay with you.

I don't really have many bands I really got into and then stopped following, and the ones that I do have of those haven't stuck with me at all, save a few 'nostalgia' tracks that you only recall when someone else mentions them.

The only band I was into and stopped listening to is Lostprophets, and I only stopped because the lead singer is a convicted child sex offender and attempted rapist, and the band split when he was arrested.

Unfortunately, music doesn't stop being good just because the guy who helped write it and sang it is actually a Grade A scumbag who I'd gladly watch rot to death in a cell, so I get the odd split of both wanting to sing along when one of their songs enters my head, and at the same time wanting to change what I've mentally got on shuffle at the moment because I don't want to enjoy the words of a pathetic excuse for a human being.

I do have a few songs from bands I currently enjoy and listen to, though, that'll probably stay with me if and when I move on from them. If they'll suit the topic then I'll post them later, once I've had some sleep.
