Harlequins in DE transports

So now that the DE codex has venoms and raiders as Fast Attack, does this mean that you can finally put the Harlies in a super vast assault vehicle?

Harlequins are often looked at as sub-optimal, but I know many people have the models simply because of how cool they are. Would this make them a little more viable?

Using an Eldar and Dark Eldar allied force, what would be the most effective way to use this combo?

Harlies in a raider or a venom?
Or harlies with a Dark Eldar HQ and webway portal?

It would make them more viable for sure but I doubt they'll make up their points. Their poor toughness and saves makes them very fragile, even in combat. I'd rather put Striking Scorpions into an assault vehicle because they'll at least survive overwatch or a template weapon hitting the transport.

Harlequins aren't bad. They can be a assault/shooty unit. Archon with blaster/wwp harlie troop with 2 fusion pistols and 3 kisses is about 262pts, can drop in and fire 3 anti tank shots then has shooting and assault presence the next turn.

I think radier/venom is better for harlies than a WWP since you can potentially get into assault turn 2, and have the raider jinking shots as opposed to landing in and shooting then sitting there with save -.

There is a batrep up now (http://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/631322.page) exemplifying how to do this. Rypher uses regular Wraithguard, but you could easily make them D-scythes too.

Drop Archon/SS's in the center/back and organize your D-Scythes in the front. Should be able to get 5 or so shots per DS. I'd actually just use regular WG, as they're cheaper and high S (8+) weaponry is something Eldar armies tend to be light on.

On Topic: Harlies are great assault units, and absolutely tear up what they hit. If they get there. And soak up a lot of your points doing so. And Scorpions can do just as much, but more durably.

I love Harlies, really do. But ATM they're not viable. Costing as much as a FD (after kiss), but having both low durability and no range kills them. IF you some how manage to slog up field/DS and not get shot off the table waiting to assault, then they'll kill what they hit. If your opponent has half a mind and any low/mid S weaponry, they turn into expensive targets. Wyches fulfill the same roll at half the price with slightly worse dmg output and are troops that don't have to eat a FA slot for their ride, and still are second choice to warriors.
