Fitting Flying Models on their stands

Not all the time, but at least 2 out of 10 models i get, the flying ball doesn't really fit into the socket on the model in question, and it either swivels incredibly loosely or doesn't go in at all!

I've just assembled a Frostheart Phoenix and its the worst yet. Doesn't even free stand. i cant get it to stop on at all. Does anyone else get this, and if so, know of any decent solutions?

Thanks

Snap off the top peg, drill or file the hole in the model bigger then the cone shape of the rest of the stand will fit & be secure for all your models.

Magnets are a good option. I usually just use some coat hanger wire or the likes cut to desired length and drill an appropriate sized hole to glue into. I've just had to much hassle with the fidgety flight stands snapping off inside the model after glueing to bother with em anymore.
