A Sign of a Klan Supplement?

I know this might be leaping to huge conclusions, but is it just me or does the whole Necron 'formations within formations' seem like it might be testing the waters for what could be a template for Ork Klan supplementation? A lot of what they are doing in the Necron book for different Dynasties or whatever seems like it would work well with the Ork Klans. Kult of Speed for example would require you to bring perhaps a certain amount of bikes, trukks, and buggies, and grant them unique benefits for doing so. Etc etc.

Anyone else think this could be a good sign? Or am I just a wishful Grot who put too much thought into it?

Re:A Sign of a Klan Supplement?

The Decurion thing has more of an Imperial Guard feel to me. Its a very structured way of organizing things while giving special rules to some, but not all of the units in the force. So, one formation specializes is anti- infantry, another specializes in anti- tank/ MC another specializes in being a distraction Carnifex etc. Being so organized where every unit belongs to one formation and all those formations belong to a bigger, super formation isn't Orky.

I could see a Kult organization method where if you take one formation you get all of its USRs, but if you take another, you get the USRs for both formations, and then some. This way, you are encouraged to have a force with variety, and are rewarded for playing a horde style army by taking lots of things. But there would be no crazy Force Org Chart made up of formations in my mind.

A grot can dream ^_^

Edit: I'd love a Klan formation that would give our Walkers a much needed boost up. Or something to make Deffkopters even more appealing. Or Stormboyz...oh Orks. I love thee.

A Sign of a Klan Supplement?

I miss the klans =(

If you can give "chapter tactics" to make various marine chapters it wouldn't take much to do the same thing for ork klans. Or even like a chaos mark be neat.

They talk about the klans in all the codex being different yet no in game rules to represent that. Sad face =(

A Sign of a Klan Supplement?

I wish the orks could get clans. I feel like that is the direction they will head with all the codexes, with ultra-formations. They are probably testing it out with Necrons first. I feel like orks could have clans, space marines could have chapters, chaos space marines and chaos can have cults, Tau can have formations working together, and etcetera for all the other armies.
