I'm getting back into 40k, last played in 5th edition, and have decided to kit-bash an army of Finreht Highlanders from the old Codex Eye of Terror campaign - Commissaar Harris has done a fine job of pulling the fluff on these guys together on his blog: http://finreht-37.blogspot.co.uk/ if you'd like to see more .

I've always been more of a builder - ll be making use of parts from several 3rd parties, Victoria Lamb, Warlord Games, Mad Robot, etc and while i'm mega excited about getting my hands on bits and happily filing sanding glueing etc my better half has pointed out that I had better make the effort to play with these down ot my FLGS.

That being the case I have a plan to build, paint and play in 500pt blocks, once I've got each block least tabletop ready I'll move onto the next block, playing and learning as I go. Hoping that work in progress posts will help keep me motivated so I can carry this trhrough to a fully painted army over the next 6 months, wish me luck!
