I 3D modelled this then had the masters 3D printed, and now it is successfully in production. There's basically two base models; the mantis battlesuit then a flying version of the mantis, then a whole load of customisation add ons like different weapons, heads etc.



Some of them have a wash of black ink on them to bring out the detail a bit better, but it's a bit messy in areas. I'm getting one painted up at the moment but my painting skills are a bit out of practice. If you'd like to see more you can find my website at www.theminiaturesapprentice.com

A criticism though, the pics are very dark on your site, especially the dragon. Hopefully when it's done you can display the detail quality a bit better. Very cool so far from what I can tell.

Also, I've always felt having fingers in the pic looks plain tacky, even on WIPs. With regards to the dragon, the reason I've had to have my hands in the way for some of the later pictures is to hold him up- I've planned the armature out very poorly and the main body's currently detached from the base. The reason for this is that when I started him I didn't intend him being anywhere near the size he is now, just a small dragon resting around a nest- I've just got a bit carried away with him haha.
