				<description><![CDATA[ Hi, I saw the update from Warhammer World about the new Throne of Skulls event coming (I live quite local to Nottingham), and with it the words... "Using larger armies than ever before..."<br /> <br /> With that in mind I guess it will mean something like 1,850 (or larger). This seam like a good place to start anyway. The teaser from <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(477);'>WW</span> does say unbound, but without the event pack I want to remain battleforged, plus ObjSec Leman Russes are just fun  <img src="/s/i/a/6d3c0a908a3861135dfaebde91c0ecf6.gif" border="0"> <br /> <br /> Steel Host Formation <br /> <br /> Tank Commander, Pask, Punisher 210 <br /> Pask's Command Squadron, <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(87);'>LR</span> Punisher 140<br /> <br /> Hydra 70 <br /> 1xLR Annihilator, Lascannon 145<br /> 1xLR Eradicator 120<br /> 1xLR Eradicator 120<br /> <br /> Amoured Battle Group Detachment <br /> <br /> <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(56);'>HQ</span> <br /> Company Command Tank, <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(87);'>LR</span> Vanquisher, Beasthunter Shells, Co-Axial Heavy Stubber, 190 (Warlord)<br /> <br /> Troop<br /> Demolisher 165<br /> Demolisher 165<br /> <br /> Heavy Support <br /> Hydra 75<br /> <br /> Lord Of War<br /> Stormblade 450 (the plasma here hopefully replaces the need for Leman Russ Executioners, and their Gets Hot risk)<br /> <br /> This comes to 1,850 and leaves me with the opportunity of increasing to 2k or dropping to 1,500 as needed.<br /> <br /> Thoughts and suggestions please. As this is for a tournament it does need to stand up against allcomers, but for me this armoured list is meant to be thematic (as many tanks as I can fit the list)<br /> ]]></description>

				<description><![CDATA[ From my limited use of the <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(646);'>ABG</span> <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(269);'>id</span> say drop the <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(87);'>LR</span> commander and make him a Vanq with beast hunter shells (this makes him a truly horrifying target to everyone, taking out tanks and wraith knights with ease). If points are left over convert those extra 2 hydras to something more useful like more tanks depending on your point leftovers]]></description>

				<description><![CDATA[ I see the Beastmaster shells in the intro to the army list, thanks for that. I had heard others talking about them, but couldn't find them... until now.<br /> <br /> The Vanquisher Command Tank is 165, for some reason the points don't marry up with the ones in the <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(682);'>AM</span> Codex, Vanquishers & Eradicators are a lot more expensive in the <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(60);'>IA</span> book.<br /> <br /> I could easily find the points to take the Vanq. Commander, Would probably end up dropping one of the Vanguishers in the Steel Host down to make the extra 5 points. At the moment I like the look of the 3 Hydras, especially since the Battle Group ones ignore Jink saves. But am open to suggestions of what you think would be a decent use of the 75-150 points (a 2nd Command tank with Beastmaster actually springs to mind...)<br /> <br /> Thanks for the input]]></description>

				<description><![CDATA[ Have made the alterations to the list above, made the <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(646);'>ABG</span> Commander a Vanquisher and switched out one of the Steel Host Vanquishers for an Eradicator. I prefer this option over the Exterminator as with <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(487);'>PE</span> it will hopefully be quite a reasonable light armour crowd control. This way It will also hopefully fit in with the Punisher units as they all advance together<br /> <br /> I looked into it, but shot of losing both Hydras form the <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(646);'>ABG</span> detachment I cant take a 2nd Vanquisher with Beastmaster shells, unless the event pack says 2000 of course....<br /> <br /> Thanks again<br /> <br /> <br /> <span style="font-size: 9px; line-height: normal;">Automatically Appended Next Post:</span><br /> In this list do you guys think that Pask is necessary? 				<description><![CDATA[ Fair enough, that detachment would also be a <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(683);'>CAD</span>. So I suppose I can reroll that warlord trait...<br /> <br /> With that in mind I have added a Co-axial Heavy Stubber to the <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(646);'>ABG</span> Commander, that way I have a chance of twin-linking his Vanquisher Cannon if I am firing it single shot (and I think the scatter dice as well), sound like a plan?<br /> <br /> Modified the list above. Had to lose one of the Hydras to fit in the upgrades on the <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(646);'>ABG</span> Commander, and with 10 points left over I opted for improved comms. This increases the range of his orders to 30" making it more likely he can order the Demolishers (and yes, I upgraded the Thunderers). The plan would be to have whatever unit one of the Demolishers fire at have to reroll their cover saves<br /> <br /> Thanks as always]]></description>

He's not there for the Preferred enemy, but because he gives rending to S5 Heavy 20, gives re-roll on armor penetration, and has BS4. Pask is a threat to anything from <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(45);'>GEQ</span> to <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(652);'>TEQ</span> from Flyers to AV14.<br /> <br /> I'm not familiar with <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(646);'>ABG</span>, but Vanquishers are one shot cannons a turn which hit half the time. The Demolisher and Eradicator can scatter to oblivion, how are you making these work? I think you'll need to hit re-rolls on both of them.]]></description>

				<description><![CDATA[ Completely sold on Pask, but don't think he will be my warlord. The enforced trait he has does not seam as useful in the formation compared to the <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(646);'>ABG</span> traits.<br /> <br /> The <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(646);'>ABG</span> Vanquisher Beasthunter upgrade is: 72" S8 AP2 Heavy 1, Blast 3", Instant Death. So is a <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(93);'>MC</span> killing machine (Nids and Wraithknights come to mind). Any hit from the Coaxial Heavy Stubber means it can also reroll to hit its main weapon (effectively making it twin-linked). Unfortunately the Beasthunter upgrade is only available on Commanders (and I cant fit in 2 in this list...)<br /> <br /> Regarding the Eradicators and Demolishers, there is no way I can twin-link them unfortunately. As I don't want to take any infantry models<br /> <br /> My hope is that as much high <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(9);'>AV</span> units and weight of blasts should stand up. Plus <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(487);'>PE</span> on S6 Blasts (the eradicators) will hopefully wound on a 2+ most of the time rerolling 1s, so any hits should do some damage, this weapon has AP4, but ignores cover so if I pick my target it should fill the gap in the weaponry<br /> <br /> I like the Demolishers in the <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(646);'>ABG</span> detachment (the <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(646);'>ABG</span> Commander can make their target reroll successful cover saves, so they should be quite flexible (targetting encamped troops and skimmers).<br /> <br /> Would you have any suggestions for the 4 Russes in Pasks formation? What you think might work better?]]></description>

				<description><![CDATA[ been checking through the alternatives, and what do people think about switching out the Steel Host Vanquisher for an Annihilator? It comes equipped with a twin-linked lascannon and I would upgrade to a hull mounted lascannon as well.<br /> <br /> Do you reckon it would be more reliable than the Vanquisher single BS3 shot?<br /> <br /> In order to make it fit I would lose the Improved Comms off the commander, but not exactly a big loss as it was only really there to use up points.<br /> <br /> Thanks]]></description>
