1. What is a kroot childhood like? (Do they get called something like chicks when they're young?)

2. Do the kroot get any benefits from eating plants? (Minor case of photosynthesis in a way?)

3. How long does it take for the genes to work in the kroot? I.E. I mean, I can't imagine there exists that amount of Kroot fluff in past publishing to be recycled into a full-fledged codex.
